Denne bilen er en meget sjelden 1996 modell med WideBody-karosseri. Dette året fikk modellen større tekniske oppgraderinger på motor og motorstyring sammenlignet med foregående år. I tillegg fikk modellene nydesignede 17'' hjul som standard. Som standard utviklet bilen 750Nm ved kun 2.000 omdr/min, et enormt tall for epoken! Dette er en av svært få biler i R-utgave som fikk samme oppgraderte motor som i Continental T (med kortere akselavstand) på 420 HK. Bilen er også bestilt med det særegne tilleggsvalget "WideBody" - mye bredere hjulbuer enn standard utgave. Det er trolig produsert under 200 WideBody Continental'er totalt (inkl. R, T og R Mulliner), og som R-utgave er denne svært sjelden med trolig kun et tosifret antall produsert.

This car is a very rare 1996 model with WideBody bodywork. This year the model received major technical upgrades to the engine and engine management compared to the previous year. In addition, the models received newly designed 17'' wheels as standard. As standard, the car developed 750Nm at only 2,000 rpm, an enormous figure for the era! This is one of the very few cars in the R-edition that received the same upgraded engine as in the Continental T (with shorter wheelbase) of 420 HP. The car was also ordered with the unique additional option "WideBody" - much wider wheel arches than the standard edition. There are probably less than 200 WideBody Continentals produced in total (incl. R, T and R Mulliner), and as an R-edition this is very rare with probably only a double-digit number produced.
