The entire foundry is currently up for auction in Jorpeland, Norway. In brief, this includes two arc furnaces, an argon oxygen decarbonizer, a pre-heater for the teeming ladles, a ventilation system, assorted compressors, a hydraulic press, two large transformers, two emulsion pump stations, a series of large overhead cranes, all accessories needed for casting ingots, and much more. Over 1,000 metric tonnes of steel is included.

The teeming ladle pre-heater uses propane and oxygen to burn, and it pre-heats the teeming ladle up to 800℃. It comes with dual-burner twin systems and a 3-phase 230vac powered control system. The control system uses a Siemens touch Simatic panel interface, is PLC controlled, and includes an external push-button panel on the burner-side. It comes with a gas and temperature guard, and the offer also includes a screw compressor model from 2019 and an older Atlas Copco Airlet compressor.

The teeming and transfer ladles come in various sizes, ranging from 6 to 20 tonnes. More details can be found in the attached PDFs.

The steel ingot casting moulds vary in weight from 750kg to 12,000kg. There are 267 different moulds, mid-plates, emergency buckets, slag buckets, and injection tubes, all from the Jorpeland foundry in Norway. They are primarily KO-brand foundry tooling. Bottom plates come in two, four, and eight channel configurations, all originating from the Jorpeland foundry.

The Argon Oxygen Decarbonizer is included for the production of stainless steel and comes with a physical control interface, O2 and Argon valve control system, a Scetrolab spectrometer material analyzer, and a Spectro material preparation grinding machine among things.

The offer also includes a 6-megawatt arc furnace from Brown Boveri & Cie, manufactured in 1962, with a capacity of 14 tons, and a second, 4-megawatt arc furnace from the same maker with an unknown production year and transformer rating, this one with a capacity of 6-7 tons.

Logistics-wise, the foundry is located near the coast and can preferably be dismantled and transported using barges or similar. The foundry has the expertise and personnel available to assist with dismantling, relocation, and any reassembly if necessary.
